Nurturing Wellness: A Personal Journey Through Healing and BEAM

Aloha Beautiful Souls,

As we navigate the intricate tapestry of life, we realize that healing is not merely about the physical body; it's a profound journey encompassing the mind, body, and spirit. The true nature of healing lies in restoring harmony and balance to every facet of our being, addressing not just the symptoms but the underlying causes of imbalance. Join us for an uplifting conversation with Dr. Alvita Soleil as we delve deeper into the topics of self-empowerment and the new paradigm in healing on "A Dose of Positivity." She will be demonstrating her life-changing BEAM Method.

That's me. In 1988, I was certified as a strong, stretched, and centered instructor in Hawaii.

Healing is akin to weaving a tapestry or repairing a broken bowl. It’s not merely about fixing physical ailments; it’s about restoring harmony on multiple levels. As someone who has been into holistic health for decades and a certified health coach since 2011, there are many layers of the process of returning to a place of grace and harmony with our true nature. Here’s what I’ve come to understand and accept:

“Beam me up, Scotty!”

  • Wholeness: Healing isn’t just about curing symptoms; it’s about making us whole. Imagine a broken bowl—true healing isn’t just gluing the pieces back together; it’s restoring its original beauty and purpose. In Chinese culture, broken ceramics are often valued for their potential to embody the philosophy of wabi-sabi, the appreciation of imperfection and impermanence. This cultural perspective views cracks and breaks as part of the life cycle of an object, highlighting the beauty in its journey and resilience. Instead of discarding damaged ceramics, they may be repaired using the technique of "kintsugi," in which cracks are filled with gold or other precious metals, emphasizing the imperfections as a testament to the object's history and adding to its aesthetic and intrinsic value. This approach reflects a broader cultural respect for the past, and a deep recognition that what is broken can be mended and even made more beautiful in the process.

Similarly, healing involves aligning our physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects and piecing them together in our own unique, beautiful way.

Purpose and Discovery:

Healing allows us to rediscover our purpose. It’s like dusting off an old treasure chest and finding forgotten dreams, passions, and aspirations. As we heal, we unravel layers of our being, revealing our unique past and the many paths we have taken. What has driven you or guided you is a story to behold. The old adage, this is the first day of the rest of your life, gives breath to the meaning of transformation, allowing us to rediscover our purpose multiple times throughout our lives. It helps us to accept and love ourselves just the way we are, for all the perfection and imperfections that make us whole.

The Closer We Get to Nature, the Closer We Get to our True Nature. As I walk through the woods, the dense greenery seems to wrap around me like a comforting embrace, reminding me of the profound connection between myself and the natural world. The fresh, earthy scent of the forest fills my lungs, clearing my mind and calming my spirit. Every step on the moss-covered path feels like a return to my roots, grounding me in the wisdom of the earth beneath my feet. The closer I get to Nature, the more I realize how intertwined we are; the songs of the birds, the rustling of the leaves, and the murmuring of the stream all speak to a deep, intrinsic part of my being. In these moments, I rediscover my true nature, the one that thrives in simplicity and finds solace in the quiet, organic rhythms of life. Nature holds a mirror up to my soul, showing me who I am without the noise of modern distractions, guiding me back to a state of pure, unfiltered presence.

What brings you solace?

Connection:  “Unity in Community Builds Immunity”

Healing isn’t a solitary journey. It’s about connecting with others, whether through empathy, compassion, or shared experiences. We heal not only ourselves but also humanity’s collective soul.

Healing is a journey best shared with others, fueled by empathy, compassion, and shared experiences. In Blue Zones—regions like Okinawa and Sardinia where people live longer, often becoming centenarians—strong social ties and community connections play a key role in health and longevity. These relationships offer purpose and resilience, showing that true healing extends beyond the body and into the heart of human connection.

These meaningful relationships offer a sense of belonging and purpose, fostering emotional well-being and resilience. The study suggests that nurturing our connections with others can have a profound impact on our overall health, highlighting the true nature of healing as something that goes beyond the physical and into the realm of human relationships and social support.

Mindfulness and Awareness: In today's fast-paced world, where change is the only constant, self-regulation has become my guiding principle for maintaining well-being amidst the chaos. I've found that the best way to self-regulate our health, environment, and lives is by nurturing mindfulness and awareness. Through mindful practices like meditation, conscious breathing, and gratitude journaling, We can cultivate a sense of presence that helps us adapt to the ever-changing landscape with grace and resilience.

Spirituality’s Role in Healing:

Spirituality plays a profound role in my healing journey, offering solace, guidance, and a deeper connection to the essence of life. Through spiritual practices like prayer, meditation, and spending time in nature, I've tapped into a wellspring of inner peace and wisdom that supports me through life's challenges. Spirituality reminds us that we are part of something greater than ourselves and that there is a divine order in the universe that guides us on our path to healing.

Spirituality, to me, is the cosmic glue that binds us. Here’s how it weaves into healing:

Transcendence: Spirituality lifts us beyond the mundane. It whispers, “You’re part of something vast.” Whether through prayer, meditation, or nature, we touch the numinous and find solace.

  • Meaning and Hope: Spirituality enriches life with deep meaning and hope. When faced with illness, it serves as a guiding light, affirming that our struggles hold purpose. It is the promise of a new dawn after a long night.

  • Unconditional Love: Healing radiates love. When we connect with others—whether as a healer or a friend—we channel love. It’s the universal balm that soothes wounds and ignites transformation.

As I reflect on my journey with healing, I'm filled with gratitude for the transformative experiences and positive changes they've brought into my life. Each day, I'm reminded of the inherent power we possess to nurture our well-being and cultivate a life of harmony and vitality. With an open heart and a spirit of curiosity, I continue to explore the depths of healing and embrace the journey toward wholeness with gratitude and optimism. I am so grateful that you are here to share this journey.
