Creamy Pumpkin Mousse with Maple Whipped Cream

A silky, elegant dessert that combines the warmth of pumpkin spices with creamy richness. Topped with maple whipped cream for the perfect finishing touch.

Prep time: 15 minutes | Chill time: 2 hours | Serves: 6

Ingredients

For the Mousse:

  • 15 oz. canned pumpkin puree
  • ½ c. heavy cream
  • ¼ c. Greek yogurt
  • 3 T. maple syrup
  • 1 t. vanilla extract
  • ½ t. ground cinnamon
  • ¼ t. ground ginger
  • ¼ t. ground nutmeg
  • Pinch of ground cloves
  • Pinch of sea salt

For the Whipped Cream:

  • 1 c. heavy cream
  • 2 T. maple syrup
  • ½ t. vanilla extract

Preparation

  1. Make mousse: In a medium bowl, whisk together pumpkin puree, cream, Greek yogurt, maple syrup, vanilla, and all spices until smooth.

  2. Divide: Divide mousse among 6 serving glasses or bowls.

  3. Chill: Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.

  4. Make whipped cream: Just before serving, whip heavy cream with maple syrup and vanilla until soft peaks form.

  5. Top: Top each mousse with a dollop of maple whipped cream.

  6. Serve: Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

This dessert can be made up to 4 hours ahead. Add whipped cream just before serving to keep it fresh.
