✨Starting the New Year with a New Mindset

✨Starting the New Year with a New Mindset

What is your vision for 2022 and the 21st Century?

As the days lengthen, my imagination is heightened with the possibilities for the coming new year. One of my favorite songs of all time is John Lennon’s song, Imagine. The lyrics encourage us to imagine a world of peace, without materialism, without borders separating nations, and without religion. Imagine living for today, and like the future matters. When so many are struggling to see past the past and envision a better world, we need each other more than ever to stop the craziness.

Imagine

Less stuff ~ More Love

🌏

I have a dream of how this might shake out.

We all have dreams.

What are yours?

Imagine how equitable distribution of wealth would improve our nation’s welfare. If corporations were taxed appropriately and billionaires and millionaires shifted from a mentality of financial maximization to one of social and environmental responsibility, everyone could benefit and prosper. Imagine if our government levies taxes its citizens appropriately and provides debt relief for the most vulnerable, including student loans and healthcare. Imagine if our tax dollars worked for ethical education and health care systems that served every social-economic bracket.! Imagine being labeled a humanitarian because of these views instead of weathering the negative connotations of being called a socialist, rather than a humanitarian.

I envision communities that prioritize the essentials: a clean and balanced economy that supports the diversity of people, has a reverence for culture, insists on fair wages, and has a respect for the ecological biodiversity necessary to survive on Earth. I envision shops that are well stocked with necessities, including locally made goods and handicrafts, rather than imported slave labor merchandise. Thrift stores and up-cycle shops are prevalent, and repair shops are always nearby. Yards are full of edible plants and medicinal herb gardens accented by delightful flowers. Public transportation and businesses are energy efficient, proud of having a low carbon footprint.

Yes, I have faith that humanity will rise above today’s hypocrisy by implementing greater social-economic education and having a fresh mindset around social and environmental responsibility. We will make a significant difference. Each day, you and I have the power to dream and to manifest 🌏 change.

The beginning of 2022 is a good time to reassess and reconsider our lives in the present moment, and ask ourselves some hard questions. As we face so much adversity, more people are evaluating what is suitable for them and redefining what is essential to be happy. We start by imagining how to be happy with less stuff and focus on our innate creativity to imagine what is possible.

If we could talk, I would ask you: how does your lifestyle and career contribute to Soulutions? How does your work affect your health, your family, community, and Mother Earth? How is your livelihood contributing to your health, to future generations?

To create a better world, we must make it our business to implement humanitarian and environmental Soulutions into our life. The costs of living in harmony with Nature are explicit; the first steps are to imagine something better and to live like the future matters. Just as our parents and grandparents dreamed of a better life, so must we. By living in harmony with Nature we can create a more robust, resilient world.

By learning from the past and our present situation, we can manifest something better. We can cultivate an abundant lifestyle and livelihood by adding the proper nutrients such as kindness, inclusiveness, generosity, progressive education, the arts, Nature’s wisdom, wholesome food, holistic principles, healthy lifestyles, and many other genuine regenerative exchanges.

The current 21st-century crises present us with extraordinary opportunities. We face in-common problems that will take collective action to transform a broken world. As we embrace a mindset based on integrity and respect, a creative renaissance will raise our souls. When we commune with one another and Nature, we are unstoppable.

2022 begs us to live a wholesome and prosperous life, embrace our hopes and dreams, and share our wisdom to enrich and cultivate the life energy and the love-light in others. I believe we’ve got this! The most important choices and shifts in our lives are right in front of us.

So, what is your vision for 2022 and for the 21st Century?

“Love yields the highest return. It keeps us joyful, vibrant, and prosperous.”

Success comes when we know:

Who we are,

♥️ What we love to do

🌏 and our purposeful ‘why.’

You’re Awesome!

Big Love and Aloha ❤️

2022 Reflect, Renew, Regenerate

2022 Reflect, Renew, Regenerate

As 2021 comes to a close, what rocks your world?

  🌏

A mantra for the New Year:

I let go of what does not serve me and nurture what does.

I am good enough; I am healthy; I am grateful

Happy New Year!

  🌏

For me, New Year represents a time to reflect, renew, and regenerate what I am grateful for.

I am grateful for my health, loving husband, darling animals, extended Hawaiian family, Mother Earth, and to you for being part of my life!

Kevin, Me and Jazz, our son~

Reflection 2021

Ask yourself, what old beliefs can I let go to achieve my desires?

Am I heading in the right direction? Am I ready to set aside fears and energy vampires? Our energy is drawn to what we focus on.

Renew Joy 2022

So ask yourself, what am I willing to do to grow in the right direction? Generosity is fertilizer for our souls and being generous uplifts others. Now is the perfect time to renew your commitment to the things that bring you joy. Your joy is like a magnet, attracting more joy and more joyful people.

Regenerate Generosity 2022

Growth does not happen on its own. By reviewing and renewing what is joyful, you regenerate those juicy, good intentions. Your magnetic energy moves you were you in the right direction. Speaking of the right direction ….

It feels good to be back writing after a month of resting my eyes and hyperactive mind. For sure, this has been a time of reflection and fun, gathering with friends, our darling granddaughter, and precious son, who visited the first couple of weeks in December. We had a blast, laughing, dancing, and playing games. Lots of that happened while in the ocean, on a sandy beach, or in the kitchen preparing and eating ono-licious food. My granddaughter reminds me of the power of imagination, being joyful and generous. I am renewing my commitment  to live by my word; prioritize health, family business.

In the second half of December, I was in deep thought while celebrating the holidays, including my 34th solstice wedding anniversary with the man I love. As COVID spikes again, I spend more time in Nature where I feel most at home, safe, and fortunate. Time spent among the tropical flora and fauna regenerates my imagination, envisioning a world where all of lifekind is nurtured.

I also had a tooth extracted and a relatively new bridge removed on Dec 21st.

Losing a tooth, the new bridge, time, and money compounded the pain and reality that my father was a dentist, making me a dentist daughter who should have listened to her dad ~ “sugar is a killer Donna.”  Well, now, that’s water under the bridge.

After the tooth extraction, the day before Christmas Eve, I caught a cold…. yes, colds still exist 😇. I woke up sneezing and feeling achy. Getting a cold after oral surgery in a COVID surge was an unexpected bummer. Sneezing and blowing my nose was a no-no on the post-surgery handout outlining all the dos and don’ts after surgery. Thankfully, it was just a cold!

Over the past 40 years, I had other teeth pulled. One because I cracked it while chewing a-seeded bagel, better known as everything bagel, and the others because of antiquated enormous amalgam fillings. The teeth could not withstand being filled and crowned again. I ask myself, is this part of aging, or the haunting reality of chewing too many pieces of Bazooka Bubble Gum and Tootsie Rolls devoured in my youth. I won many championships for the most gigantic pink bubble. Reflecting, was it worth it? I think NOT. Losing teeth that had been part of me for decades proved to be an emotional and a physical loss. Some things just can’t regenerate.

I learned the hard way, and I have the teeth, or lack of them, to prove it, but I learned! In retrospect, the wisdom received that impacted my pearly whites actually made me healthier. It forced me to listen to my body and changed my ways. Realizing that there are no more baby teeth and second chances are difficult to come by, I turned to diet and nutrition to fend off illness and further tooth decay.

Even though I abandoned junk food and refined sugar (almost entirely 😇) years ago, I still pay the price of tooth decay from irresponsible, childish behavior. I blame it on seductive T. V commercials, billboards, radio ads, and supermarket end-caps, demanding I indulge. But ultimately, it is up to me to have the strength to resist and regenerate my health.

My cold could have turned to COVID or something else, possibly worse! But it did NOT. Thankfully, my immune system is strong 😇. I dosed myself with quality food, sunshine, and supplements. The cold lasted only a few days, and the nagging tooth and face pain subsided. A positive attitude motivates me to be more vigilant about my health, which includes occasionally indulging in chocolate-chip-mint ice cream.

With a renewed attitude, I choose to regenerate more healthy cells.

May the magic and mysteries of the New Year unravel any insecurities, and bring you more truth, love, and joy. Please take the time to reflect, renew and regenerate your beautiful soul and move forward in the spirit of joy and generosity in 2022. Take care of your precious body and pearly whites and widen your vision of what is possible with an open mind. Rejoice and manifest a future that brings you and the world more health, peace, and love, so you are part of rocking the world in the right direction.

You’re AWESOME

Big Love and Aloha

Wishing you and your family a Happy New Year!

Thank you for being in my life. 💕
